This wonderful sketch is an homage to a public sculpture in the Westbrae neighborhood of Berkeley. A wonderful lively drawing done in ink and Carlos' signature red ochre. 

Of the rust red hue of this and other drawings Carlos has said that restricting his color palette was a deliberate move inspired by the hues of some of the earliest markings, which employed limited colors - the blacks of charcoals and the red ochre of clays.
