"I was kind of afraid of color once upon a time. I think Pixar helped me take off my mask and figure out who was really underneath it all. Being around other artists who are willing to share their craft, their tips, make art with you...it changed the idea for me. My entire life has been making art for survival."

ALYSSA MINKO is a shading technical director whose lush sets work can be seen in Pixar's Turning Red, Lightyear, Win or Lose, and Dream Productions. Her personal paintings are underpinned by a desire, after a chaotic childhood, to connect with an immersive and peaceful natural world.
